Image compression software developer Accusoft has introduced version 18 of its ImageGear Professional software development kit.
The new release comes in three editions -- DLL 64-bit, DLL 32-bit, and ActiveX development -- and it builds on the optical character recognition (OCR) capabilities in the DLL 32-bit edition. The accuracy of OCR has been improved, with a 48% increase in accuracy for PDF files in Western languages and a 69% increase for Asian languages, according to Accusoft.
