Carestream taking orders for mobile DR

Carestream Health of Rochester, NY, has begun taking orders for its DRX-Mobile retrofit kit.

The kit enables owners of analog mobile x-ray systems to convert them to digital radiography (DR) with Carestream's wireless DRX-1 detector. The cassette-sized detector's wireless capabilities allow users to capture and view images in seconds at the point of patient care, and to forward medical images to multiple network destinations, according to the company.
