Shimadzu Medical Systems has introduced two mobile analog x-ray systems at this week's American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA) annual meeting in Las Vegas.
Mobile Art Evolution 12 features 12.5 kW of power, while Mobile Art Evolution 32 offers 32-kW maximum power output, according to Shimadzu of Torrance, CA. Both systems are designed for ease of use in restrictive and crowded ward environments, Shimadzu said.
The systems feature a compact instrument design, a power-assist function to control movement of the system, a silent motor, and a soft-touch bumper design to stop the system when even the slightest pressure is felt, Shimadzu said. Other features include a display of calculated or measured x-ray exposure dose, a dose calibration function, an illuminated indicator, and an emergency radiology function.
In addition, Mobile Art Evolution 32 can be converted to digital radiography functionality, Shimadzu said.
