Agfa shows CR data management software, products at RSNA 2008

At this week's RSNA 2008 conference in Chicago, Agfa HealthCare is featuring the SE suite of image data management software for computed radiography (CR) and its line of CR systems and products.

The SE suite is an archiving, distribution, and viewing package for managing CR images. Designed to help with the transition to digital imaging, the suite includes three modules: SE Server, SE Client, and SE Standalone. The SE suite supports single and multiuser environments and is ideal for private practices and small imaging centers, as well as orthopedic, chiropractic, and veterinary practices and imaging clinics, according to Greenville, SC-based Agfa.

The company also will showcase its line of CR systems, including the CR 30-X, CR 35-X, CR 85-X, and DX-S, with the Musica2 image processing software and enhancements to its NX touchscreen interface user station, as well as the Office Viewer software program.

In other news, the company reported that 10 of its DX-S computed radiography systems will be installed at ProHealth Care facilities in Wisconsin, including Waukesha Memorial Hospital, Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, and the D. N. Greenwald Center in Mukwonago.

Agfa also announced that the U.S. Air Force Surgeon General's office and the Air Force Communications Agency have granted its Impax 6.3 PACS and Impax Data Center an Authority to Connect. The certification and accreditation is based on guidelines set by the Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) and allows Impax 6.3 and Impax Data Center to be installed on U.S. Air Force networks, according to Agfa.

Finally, Agfa has signed an agreement with healthcare group purchasing organization Amerinet to include its Enterprise eHealth solutions, including the Enterprise Clinical Portal and Impax Clinical Module, in Amerinet's national portfolio of product and service contracts, effective May 1, 2008, through April 30, 2011.
