Fuji brokers new alliances

Fujifilm Medical Systems USA of Stamford, CT, clinched a number of new alliances this month, including a U.S. distribution agreement with Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, PA. Fuji's FCRm full-field digital mammography (FFDM) system will be added to Siemens' portfolio, which includes the Mammomat Novation FFDM system.

Fuji has also brokered an OEM agreement with ultrasound developer Zonare Medical Systems of Mountain View, CA. Fuji will market Zonare's z.one ultrasound system in Japan under the brand name Fazone M.

Finally, the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, one of the acquisition sites for the Digital Mammographic Imaging Screening Trial (DMIST), and Solis Women's Health (formerly Women's Diagnostic of Texas) of Austin have chosen to install Fuji's FCRm FFDM system. Solis has six breast centers in the Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX, area.
