SonoSite CFO Schuh to retire

Mike Schuh, chief financial officer (CFO) for compact-ultrasound developer SonoSite of Bothell, WA, will retire at the end of this year.

To take his place, SonoSite has appointed Marcus Smith as senior vice president and CFO, effective August 10.

Smith, who joined SonoSite in 2007 as vice president of corporate strategy and growth planning, helped in the acquisition of SonoSite's primary care business while serving as vice president and general manager of cardiovascular disease management.

Prior to SonoSite, Smith served as senior director of strategy and business development at Philips Healthcare of Andover, MA.
