Mindray gets clearance for ultrasound system

Medical device manufacturer Mindray Medical International has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance for its M5 portable ultrasound scanner.

The compact color ultrasound system weighs 6 kg and is designed for doctor's offices, clinics, and surgery centers, according to the Shenzhen, China-based firm. It's available now.
