AIUM gets ARRT CE approval

The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) in Laurel, MD, has been named by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Recognized Continuing Education Evaluation Mechanism, or RCEEM.

Radiologic technologists (RTs) and sonographers may now use credits earned from AIUM educational activities to maintain their certification with the ARRT, according to the AIUM.

As an RCEEM, the organization can now offer category A CE credits to RTs who attend AIUM courses and conventions and complete other AIUM educational activities, such as viewing video programs and completing journal tests.
