The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) will focus on increasing public awareness of the modality in October for Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month.
During October, the Laurel, MD-based AIUM will supply medical professionals with a free information kit that includes an ultrasound fact and terminology sheet, a list of suggested activities, and logos (above) to use in promotional materials.
The promotion is also sponsored by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS), and the Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU).
