GE, St. Jude create FFR product

GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., and St. Jude Medical of St. Paul, MN, have rolled out a jointly developed wireless technology to measure fractional flow reserve (FFR).

The system is based on St. Jude's PressureWire Aeris technology and an FFR upgrade package available for the XT and XTi system configurations of GE's Mac-Lab hemodynamic recording system, which records and displays physiological parameters in a coronary cath lab.

The Mac-Lab FFR upgrade utilizes existing cath lab infrastructure, including screens, input modules, and controls, and combines with PressureWire Aeris technology to create an integrated FFR measurement system.
