Amicas acquires Imagineradiology

PACS vendor Amicas said it has acquired certain ownership rights to source code from radiology billing and RIS developer Imagine Software of Charlotte, NC.

Under terms of the agreement, Boston-based Amicas has purchased a copy of the source code to the Imagineradiology practice management software. Amicas said it will rebrand the application and develop it as Vision Series Financials, which will be combined with its RIS and PACS products.

As Vision Series Financials, the product will also be integrated with other Amicas revenue cycle management modules, including Insight Dashboards, Insight Services, and Vision Series Document Management, according to the company.
