Agfa awarded North Carolina facility pact

Sampson Regional Medical Center (SRMC) has signed a contract to install Mortsel, Belgium-based Agfa HealthCare's Orbis nursing clinical modules for point-of-care clinical documentation, flow-sheet charting, and care planning.

Orbis Care is designed to manage clinical data and patient flow through all departments, giving SRMC's nurses and physicians access to patient electronic medical records (EMRs).

Based in Clinton, NC, SRMC has 146 beds and a staff of 750, and operates three remote clinics.
