Cerner launches Millennium 2007

Healthcare informatics developer Cerner of Kansas City, MO, this week announced the availability of Millennium 2007, the new generation of the company's healthcare information technology software.

Cerner said Millennium 2007 has a number of enhancements, with special attention focused on improvements in physician workflow. The release includes more than 8,600 added features, including support for medication reconciliation, hospital-wide discharge, and professional judgment patient acuity, as well as a series of strategic critical care and perioperative upgrades.

The release is the 15th version of the Millennium architecture, which was first introduced in 1995, the company said.
