Siemens to manage IT for Illinois hospital

Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, PA, has won a deal to manage the IT operations at Ingalls Health System of Harvey, IL.

Siemens will provide Ingalls with a long-term IT package that includes the outsourcing of the health system's IT operations, the implementation of Siemens' Soarian HIS, and the establishment of a Workflow Information Center at Ingalls to facilitate the streamlining of clinical information.

Ingalls Health System includes a 553-bed hospital in Harvey, as well as urgent care centers and imaging, diagnostics, and rehabilitation facilities in the suburbs south of Chicago.
