Amicas lands new installations

Amicas will install its Vision Series PACS at San Diego Diagnostic Radiology (SDDR)/Children’s Hospital and Health Center San Diego in San Diego; Western Maryland Health System in Cumberland, MD; and Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Baltimore.

Amicas also signed a deal to provide its Vision Series PACS to technology services firm Xtria of Richardson, TX, which will install the system at Howard Regional Health System in Kokomo, IN. Howard will also be installing an Encompass cardiology PACS from Heartlab of Westerly, RI, which has a co-marketing agreement with Amicas.

Amicas said it signed on 62 new PACS customers in 2004, with five new Vision Series RIS and 14 Vision Series PACS installations in the fourth quarter. Of the PACS installations, five were for integrated RIS/PACS networks, the company said.
