Carestream debuts CR/miniPACS software

Carestream Health of Rochester, NY, has launched new CR/miniPACS software for clinics and physicians' offices, the company said.

Carestream Image Suite combines selected models of computed radiography (CR) systems -- a choice of DirectView Classic, Point-of-Care 140, or Point-of-Care 360 CR readers -- with PACS software that can run on PC-based workstations. Image Suite is available for order worldwide and is expected to start shipping in June, according to Carestream.

Image Suite will also support DICOM storage from other modalities, including ultrasound, MR, CT, and exams from other vendors' CR systems, the company said.
