Barco launches new display controller

Image display firm Barco of Kortrijk, Belgium, has launched a new graphics display controller designed for 3D and digital mammography applications.

MXRT-7300 is designed to support clinical users who need to manipulate the large datasets being produced by 3D and digital mammography applications, according to the company. The processor also accelerates OpenGL and DirectX functions, which are increasingly common in high-end PACS environments.

MXRT-7300 sports a 10-bit display with 1 GB of memory and an ultrafast central processing unit, according to Barco, and it generates a complete grayscale dataset with 1,024 simultaneous levels of gray and more than 1 billion colors. It also includes support for the DVI-I and DisplayPort video outputs.
