First hospital joins Ontario imaging network

North Bay General Hospital has become the first hospital to send patient information to the Northern and Eastern Diagnostic Imaging Network (NEODIN), according to Canada Health Infoway.

NEODIN, which will store medical images and associated reports for hospitals throughout northern and eastern Ontario, is one of four diagnostic imaging repositories being implemented in the province. The project is expected to be completed in 2011.
