PACSGear launches new QC tool

PACS accessories firm PACSGear of Pleasanton, CA, has announced the addition of GearView QC to its portfolio of products.

With an anticipated launch at RSNA 2009, this quality control feature is designed to enable PACS administrators to fix common demographic errors in any DICOM field, as well as visually edit studies to split/combine or add/remove images, the firm said.

An additional robotic disk reader, called Stacker, is available to automate processes for importing DICOM CDs and DVDs. It is capable of processing up to 50 CD/DVDs in a signal batch, according to PACSGear.
