Agfa lands new Intermountain PACS deal

Agfa HealthCare said that Intermountain Healthcare of Salt Lake City has signed on to utilize its Impax 6.3 PACS software.

Impax 6.3 will be used to integrate Intermountain's imaging operations from all of its 21 hospitals and more than 150 clinics, according to the Greenville, SC-based vendor. Intermountain has been an Impax customer since 1999 and signed a new multiyear contract with Agfa in September.

Intermountain's existing Agfa PACS configures five PACS servers to serve five separate geographic regions, each with multiple hospitals and clinics, according to the vendor. The new installation will centralize the PACS to serve the entire enterprise and consolidate images from facilities in all of Intermountain's regions into a single database, Agfa said.
