Foresight previews TIMS DICOM upgrades at SIIM 2008

PACS technology developer Foresight Imaging of Lowell, MA, has introduced version 2.2 of its TIMS DICOM system software at the 2008 Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) meeting in Seattle, the company said.

Version 2.2 includes new features such as audio recording and annotation, audio playback, audio recording to CD/DVD, file attachment, GIF and TIF file import, DICOM send lists, and study editing improvements.

TIMS converts any non-DICOM medical modality to DICOM. The resulting digital study can be sent to PACS, recorded to CD/DVD/USB, and printed to film or paper, according to Foresight.
