Carestream's workstation passes CT test

Carestream Health's PACS workstation completed all clinical imaging exams within the allotted time at last week's "Workstation Face-Off" at Stanford University's International Symposium on Multidetector-Row CT in San Francisco.

The event evaluated advanced 3D image processing technologies' abilities to process and interpret four complex CT imaging studies. The Web-based Carestream PACS workstation features native volumetric processing.

The Rochester, NY-based company said one of its cases involved the reading radiologist processing a cardiac CT study with 2,760 images over a 4-Mb/sec line in less than six minutes.
