Merge releases ImageChannel

Merge Technologies has released ImageChannel, a product that combines the Milwaukee-based firm's storage, toolkit, and integration technologies with workstation developer eFilm Medical's software for on-demand image display, measurement, interactive window leveling, cross-referencing, and study comparison, according to Merge. ImageChannel also includes wavelet compression from Pegasus Imaging.

ImageChannel will allow for on-demand access to diagnostic-quality images throughout the healthcare enterprise, without the cost of expensive workstations, according to Merge. The firm plans to offer ImageChannel to its OEM/VAR customer base.
