MDS Nordion opens new FDG facility in Belgium

MDS Nordion of Ottawa has opened a new radiopharmaceutical production facility in Belgium, the company said.

The Fleurus site will provide fluorine-18 (F-18) FDG for PET imaging to hospitals throughout Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Germany. It will have three daily production runs, according to MDS Nordion.
