DR Systems to debut cardiac software at ACC

PACS software developer DR Systems of San Diego will launch its new Unity cardiovascular information system (CVIS) this month at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) meeting in Atlanta, the company said.

Unity CVIS is based on open standards and technology, allowing cardiologists to integrate patient information and images from multiple departments and data sources into one common platform and database, according to DR Systems. It provides multimodality support for cardiac and vascular ultrasound, x-ray angiography, coronary CT and MR angiography, nuclear cardiology, and electrocardiography.

Unity CVIS includes configurable and automated display protocols, imaging manipulation, and point-of-care access to patients' demographic, history, physical, admission, order, and results data, DR Systems said.
