Toshiba America Medical Systems parent Toshiba Medical Systems has promoted Senior Vice President Satoshi Tsunakawa to president and CEO.
Tsunakawa joined Toshiba in 1979 and has held a variety of posts, including a stint as president of Toshiba America Medical Systems from 2004 to 2008. He succeeds Kenichi Komatsu, PhD, who will become an advisor to the board of Toshiba Medical Systems and also an advisor to parent Toshiba, according to the Otawara, Japan-based firm.
