Medison to use ContextVision technology

Ultrasound developer Medison of Cypress, CA, will incorporate GOPiCE US software from Stockholm-based image enhancement developer ContextVision in the second half of this year.

GOPiCE is a real-time volumetric filtering software for ultrasound that's designed to enable users to see anatomical areas such as deep tissue and regions obscured by bone.

GOPiCE filters 3D ultrasound volumes to remove speckle and other artifacts, while simultaneously extending a clinician's vision to planes previously hidden, such as the regions of the fetal brain.
