September 22, 2014 -- Radiation detection technology company Kromek has received $1 million to develop and supply cadmium zinc telluride (CZT)-based multispectral detectors for producing high-resolution color x-ray images by CT scanners.

For the second year, Kromek is working with an undisclosed major OEM in the CT market. The payment is part of a mutually exclusive development contract that is worth up to $5.3 million, Kromek said.
