Confirma

Kirkland, WA-based computer-aided detection (CAD) developer Confirma plans to focus on two products at this year's RSNA show: CADalog, a study recall program that allows radiologists to view a patient's previous studies next to current ones; and CADstream, its breast MR image processing CAD technology.

2006 11 02 14 55 13 706CADstream automates analysis, reporting, and interventional planning of studies and incorporates the American College of Radiology's BI-RADS Atlas. It also features morphology categorization through its volume analysis tool, multiplanar reformatting (MPR), angiogenesis maps, maximum intensity projections (MIPs), and a CAD analysis tool, SureLoc, for MR-guided interventional procedures. SureLoc is now compatible with all interventional guidance methods and equipment, according to the company.

In May, Confirma boosted CADstream's visibility with two partnerships, one with Berlex Imaging of Wayne, NJ, and another with Medipattern of Toronto. Berlex will offer CADstream via a customer accrual program; Medipattern will package its B-CAD MRI advanced morphology analysis tool with CADstream.
