Source Medical Solutions will highlight new features and functions in SourceRad, an integrated, Web-based RIS/PACS product developed in partnership with Los Altos, CA-based ScImage.

The system has received a technology overhaul and has been ported to the Microsoft .Net Smart Client platform, according to the Birmingham, AL-based firm. The new architecture allows for expanded application functionality such as drag-and-drop scheduling and multiple tabs running simultaneous workflows that require minimal network bandwidth, Source Medical said.

SourceRad also now includes document scanning capabilities, an enhanced billing engine, and an application service provider (ASP) component, the company said.
