2006 11 01 14 24 51 706Quest will be shining the spotlight on Totoku's ME551i2 5-megapixel LCD, which has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance for digital mammography applications.

ME551i2 is a 21.3-inch, 5-megapixel LCD with an 11.9-bit grayscale palette and 750 cd/m² brightness, according to Quest of Irvine, CA. It also features a luminance equalizer and the capability to simultaneously display 2,048 shades of gray (11 bit), Quest said.

In addition, the monitor includes λ-Uniformity Matrix, a luminance equalization feature, and λ-Sentinel II, a photometer that monitors the backlight to stabilize luminance.
