U.S. Electronics will show new 2- and 3-megapixel displays from Totoku.

2005 11 14 16 12 17 706 Featuring Totoku's Lamda-Sentinel II front-sensor technology, CCL350i and ME351i are 20.8-inch, 3-megapixel LCD displays. CCL350i is a color display with 2048 x 1536 native resolution, a viewing angle of 170º in all directions, 16.8 million colors, and maximum brightness of 400 nits, according to USEI of Minneapolis.

CCL350i provides a contrast ratio of 450:1 and a digital visual interface, and it supports both portrait and landscape modes. It offers 1,021 shades of gray, and is targeted for color viewing of 3D images, as well as ultrasound and endoscopic procedures.

ME351i is a monochrome LCD that provides combination landscape and portrait modes with a maximum brightness of 700 nits and contrast ratio of 900:1. With 3,826 shades of gray and a DVI interface, it is suitable for general radiology applications, USEI said.

USEI and Totoku will also debut two 2-megapixel (1600 x 1200 native resolution), 21.3-inch color and monochrome displays. CCL250i provides 16.77 million colors, 170º viewing angles, and maximum brightness of 450 nits. It has a contrast ratio of 450:1 and both digital and analog visual interfaces.

ME251 is a grayscale version with 11.9-bit grayscale, a maximum brightness of 1,500 nits, a contrast ratio of 700:1, and a digital visual interface.

USEI will also show CCL192plus, a 19-inch, 1.3-megapixel color LCD with 178º viewing angles and maximum contrast of 600:1. It offers 16.77 million colors, a max brightness of 450 nits, and multiple interfaces, according to the firm.
