GE Healthcare

(Booth 1729) Expect GE to feature its recent acquisition of PACS vendor Dynamic Imaging. On the product side, version 3.0 of Centricity Imaging-PACS will be highlighted in the company's RSNA booth.

Version 3.0 adds a number of efficiency benefits, including support for new Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) profiles that will automate exam acquisition, reporting, and communication for referring physicians, according to the Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.-based vendor. In addition, new Centricity Imaging-PACS customers will be able to utilize an updated Linux architecture, while current customers can adopt version 3.0 with their existing infrastructure, GE said.

Other features included in the latest release include new decision-support tools such as GE's Business Intelligence Portal for helping administrators maximize resources, enhanced security features, voice-driven commands, and configurable worklists.

GE will also spotlight Centricity Advanced Workstation (AW) Suite 2, which combines advanced visualization tools from the firm's AW software with Centricity Imaging-PACS. AW Suite 2 includes five optional modules: CardIQ (cardiology), Advanced Lung Analysis (oncology), Advanced Vessel Analysis (cardiovascular), Autobone, and CT colonography.

With AW Suite 2, specific tools (including 3D) for CT, MR, PET/CT, and x-ray are available on any networked PACS PC, obviating the need for radiologists to move between workstations to view and manipulate interactive volume datasets, according to GE.

GE will also present its Centricity Radiology offering, which combines GE's Centricity PACS with Centricity RIS-IC (formerly IDX Imagecast).
