(Booth 1129) Fuji will highlight the latest version of its Synapse PACS software at this year's RSNA conference in Chicago.

Synapse Version 3.2.1 offers digital mammography enhancements, adding tools to aid the display and management of computer-aided detection (CAD) results, Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA)-compliant image overlays, and diagnostic/screening reading protocols, according to the Stamford, CT-based vendor.

Following its acquisition of cardiac PACS vendor ProSolv CardioVascular earlier this year, Fuji will highlight integration with ProSolv's cardiovascular image and information system for any cardiac modality. In addition, Fuji said it will also focus on integrated Corridor4DM (previously known as 4DM-SPECT) capabilities, which offers review, analysis, and quantification tools for nuclear cardiology physicians and technologists from any ProSolv CardioVascular workstation.

In advanced visualization developments, Fuji will feature future extensions to its distributed 3D software, including PET/CT fusion capabilities. In addition, Fuji will demonstrate enhancements to existing maximum intensity projection/multiplanar reformatting (MIP/MPR) algorithms for Synapse, as well as new features for its digital mammography package.

Also, the company will present an expanded data model for Synapse PACS as a work-in-progress. This new model will offer efficiency gains through enhanced workflow and greater information access, according to Fuji.

Fuji will also highlight integration with the Encompass.Net RIS from Empiric Systems.
