Richardson readies new program, training for RSNA 2017

Imaging equipment parts and service provider Richardson Healthcare will launch a preferred replacement parts program and a new CT training course at RSNA 2017 in Chicago.

Called P3 (Preferred Parts Partnership), the new program is designed to allow customers to align their business needs with Richardson's parts, inventory levels, technical support, and service training programs, according to the company. Clients can choose between two P3 options: P3 Advantage and P3 Protect. P3 Advantage is an exclusive supplier relationship for replacement parts and technical support at preferred pricing, while P3 Protect is a parts coverage contract with fixed monthly costs.

Richardson said it has also expanded its CT training courses to include CT scanners from Philips Healthcare. Philips' Brilliance CT system is staged at Richardson's training facility in Fort Mill, SC, to support a two-week, hands-on curriculum that will teach engineers how to conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshoot errors, and replace key components in the field, according to the company.

In other RSNA 2017 news, Richardson said it will highlight a new radiofrequency amplifier service for MRI customers, refurbished CT equipment, replacement CT parts via its International Medical Equipment and Service brand, and a digital x-ray upgrade package for migrating from analog or computed radiography to digital radiography.
