FDG-PET/CT targets metastases in cervical, endometrial cancer
November 27, 2016 -- CHICAGO - With high specificity and negative predictive value, FDG-PET/CT can accurately detect distant metastases in women with cervical or endometrial cancer and spare them from unnecessary aggressive therapy, according to a study presented on Sunday at RSNA 2016.

Siemens launches line of tablet-controlled CT scanners
November 27, 2016 -- Siemens Healthineers is launching a new line of value-based CT scanners at this week's RSNA 2016 meeting in Chicago. Called Somatom go, the systems are novel in that scanner functions can be controlled using a tablet computer, freeing technologists from the operator's console and creating a more mobile workflow.

November 9, 2016 -- At this year's RSNA 2016 meeting, attendees will hear how machine learning could be incorporated into women's imaging, perhaps by improving clinicians' ability to assess a woman's breast cancer risk or even by reducing unnecessary biopsies.
