Hitachi to unveil new MRI software at RSNA 2015

Hitachi Medical Systems America will unveil its new Evolution 5 MRI software at RSNA 2015.

Evolution 5 has nearly 40 new features and improvements, including the integration of a new image processing algorithm (VIVID), a new reconstruction task protocol (NCC) that reduces redundant noise pickup, and a new optimized fast spin-echo sequence (opFSE) in which images have greater overall uniformity and contrast.

Evolution 5 is available on the Echelon Oval 1.5-tesla scanner, with new shipments and no-charge software upgrades for customers under warranty or service maintenance agreements beginning January 1. Availability on Hitachi Medical's other MRI systems, including the Oasis 1.2-tesla open scanner and Trillium Oval 3-tesla system, is expected to follow later next year.
