Final RSNA numbers confirm professional attendance record

Final official attendance numbers from the RSNA 2014 meeting confirmed that last month's conference set a record for the number of professional attendees, as the number of attendees from outside North America also grew.

There were 28,807 professional attendees at the Chicago conference, the highest figure ever recorded for an RSNA annual meeting, according to the Oak Brook, IL, society. Total attendance stood at 56,026, with 20,880 exhibitor attendees and 6,339 "other" attendees rounding out the total.

The society said that international attendance stood at 11,470 people, representing a 12% increase. Exhibitor attendance was "on par" with previous years.

RSNA 2014 saw its technical exhibits fill two buildings of McCormick Place, with 656 exhibits in 431,300 sq ft of space, including 111 first-time exhibitors.
