Toshiba rolls out dose software enhancements

Toshiba America Medical Systems has rolled out enhancements for its Dose Tracking System (DTS) for the entire Infinix product line, including the Elite, Select, and Essential cardiovascular x-ray systems.

The enhancements include expanded biplane coverage, which makes it possible to use the software for neurovascular and congenital cardiology cases. It also features specific patient head models to help provide peak skin dose estimates for neurovascular procedures. In addition, DTS now has an enhanced ability to track tilt and cradle movement of the table.

DTS will be showcased at the upcoming RSNA 2014 meeting.
