Testing-instruments provider Unfors RaySafe has introduced new software for patient radiation dose management at the 2012 RSNA meeting in Chicago.

The RaySafe S1 cloud-based software helps reduce patients' radiation exposure to a minimum while ensuring the quality of radiological images. With the ability to capture patient dose during radiology procedures, the software enables practitioners to better control and reduce the number of unnecessary exams, lower patient dose, improve process quality, and monitor patient safety, according to the company.
