Candelis enhances Astra Lite, offers archiving service By AuntMinnie.com staff writers
November 28, 2012 -- Archive developer and medical informatics firm Candelis has added capabilities to its browser-based thin-client Astra Lite and introduced deep archive support at the 2012 RSNA conference in Chicago. An upgrade to Astra Lite enables users to securely publish images and reports without allowing access to their internal network and without virtual private networks, user account administration, plug-ins, and installation, according to the company. Referring physicians and specialists can easily access full-resolution images and reports anytime and anywhere using only a browser.
Through Astra, Candelis now also offers deep archive support for $499 per terabyte, managing backup and archive activities automatically and seamlessly.
