Advanced visualization and analysis software firm Claron Technology has formed a partnership with Hectec for joint research and development of new digital orthopedic surgery planning tools.

As part of the agreement announced at the 2012 RSNA meeting in Chicago, Hectec will license Claron's Withinsight Framework (WIF) medial image visualization and analysis toolkit and its new SpineMapper engine for automated mapping of spinal anatomical landmarks.

Claron specializes in software for advanced medical image visualization and analysis. Hectec develops digital orthopedic surgery planning systems.
