Esaote introduces G-scan Brio MRI By AuntMinnie.com staff writers
November 19, 2012 -- Ultrasound vendor Esaote has introduced G-Scan Brio, a second-generation, weight-bearing MRI scanner designed specifically to perform musculoskeletal MRI examinations. The new system has a touchscreen display on its gantry showing real-time images of the joint. It has been re-engineered with new ergonomics, new acquisition techniques, and a new look, according to the company.
In conjunction with G-Scan Brio, Esaote has also introduced its E-MRI Brio Release 2 platform, a combination of 2D acquisition and reconstruction sequences. The software reduces scan time without compromising image quality, the company said.
Esaote will feature both products at the forthcoming RSNA annual meeting, in booth 4636 of the South Building.
