Radiology data mining and performance measurement software developer Montage Healthcare Solutions unveiled at RSNA 2012 its Montage Signal software tool for real-time analysis of radiology reports.
An extension of Montage's search-driven radiology business intelligence and clinical quality analytics tools, Signal flags report inconsistencies during radiology report dictation and identifies errors in real-time before the report is finalized, according to the vendor. It flags reports containing laterality and gender errors, critical test results, and incomplete billing documentation, Montage said.
Signal was also presented at the meeting in Carestream Health's booth as a work-in-progress on that vendor's Vue Reporting radiologist workflow platform.
