Matakina updates Volpara density software

Breast density software company Matakina International has launched Volpara imaging software 1.5.7, which expands the number of digital mammography systems on which the software can be used for breast density measurements.

The additional systems include those from Fujifilm Medical Systems, Philips Healthcare, IMS, and Medi-Future, in addition to processing mammography studies acquired on GE Healthcare, Hologic, and Siemens Healthcare digital mammography systems.

Cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Health Canada, and Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), in addition to receiving Europe's CE Mark, Volpara is in use across the globe to help radiologists assess breast density and better determine who might benefit from additional screening.
