SCCT seeks new editor in chief for journal

The Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) is seeking a new editor in chief for its Journal of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (JCCT).

The new editor will serve a five-year term beginning in January 2019, replacing Dr. Stephen Achenbach, whose term ends on December 31. A six-month transition period will commence in June 2018.

The editor in chief is responsible for duties that include managing peer review of all articles submitted, selecting the editorial board, and developing editorial policies that ensure the integrity and quality of the journal's content.

The ideal candidate must be an SCCT member, have served on the editorial board of JCCT, have at least three years of experience in a senior journal editorial position, and have widely recognized expertise in the field of cardiovascular CT.
