Exact Imaging wins Canadian approval for ExactVu

Health Canada has approved ultrasound technology developer Exact Imaging's ExactVu microultrasound device for prostate imaging and biopsy guidance.

The unit has also been given a medical device license, the company said.

Exact Imaging has already sold an ExactVu device to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and Sunnybrook Research Institute in Toronto. It will be used for both clinical practice and research, according to the firm.
