Carestream launches PET/CT oncology workflow tool

Carestream Health has launched a new oncology workflow module for PET/CT studies, to be used with the company's enterprise image management software.

The company's new CT perfusion and subtraction tool allows users to more easily analyze and compare 3D, CT perfusion, and digital subtraction angiography images, Carestream said. Meanwhile, its new PET segmentation tool enables users to examine traces of tumor standardized uptake values on the PET image without needing a physical trace on a CT exam.

This new oncology workflow module includes automatic fusion of PET, SPECT, CT and MR images; automatic registration between volumetric datasets; synchronized manipulations, color maps, measurement tools, and predefined layouts; and reproducible 2D and volumetric lesion segmentation. It is supported by Carestream's Vue Reporting package and its Vue Motion universal viewer, the company said.
