Fuji VisualSonics adds to Vevo line

Preclinical imaging developer Fujifilm VisualSonics is highlighting its Vevo 3100 high-frequency ultrasound system at this week's World Molecular Imaging Congress in Seoul, Korea.

Designed for small-animal studies, Vevo 3100 features the company's new Vevo HD technology and a customizable touchscreen user interface, according to the Fujifilm SonoSite subsidiary. Vevo HD is a real-time image processing algorithm that reduces speckle noise and artifacts in images.

Vevo 3100 can provide simultaneous real-time acquisition of in-vivo anatomical, functional, physiological, and molecular data at a resolution down to 30 µm, VisualSonics said. The system also has a 40% smaller footprint and weight compared to previous models.
