IBA posts revenue increase in 1st half of 2014

Proton therapy technology developer Ion Beam Applications (IBA) posted financial results for the first half of 2014 (end-June 30).

The firm saw overall revenues of 98.2 million euros ($129.3 million U.S.), up 8% from 97.1 million euros ($127.8 million U.S.) in 2013. The company's net profit was 7.4 million euros ($9.7 million U.S.), up 80% from 4.1 million euros ($5.4 million U.S.) in the same period of 2013.

Net sales from proton therapy systems and other accelerators were 75.7 million euros ($99.6 million U.S.), up 1% from 74.9 million euros ($98.6 million U.S.) last year, the company said.
